Asking for Password for Opening the Archived Zip Files ???

Recently, I received one PM from a user in a forum, asking whether there is any password to open the Archived Zip Files that I have uploaded. That’s make me confuse, because I didn’t set any password protected to the entire file that I have uploaded. This is the first time I heard that. And I did check and extract the zip file that I have uploaded and I can easily extract the file without any password.

However, Today I just downloaded an album of anime song when I tried to extract the file, it asked for the password. I was so confuse. Of course I went to check for the solution. And I found it. The solution for this problem is

“Windows users may receive this false positive if thefilename is long. Try renaming the filename to something shorter (eg. a.zip) and putting it in theroot of a drive (eg. C:\), then try extracting the file again”

Hope this information is helpful for you guys. :)

Singapore Anime Licensor Pursues Illegal Downloaders

Singapore Anime Licensor Pursues Illegal Downloaders
Parents of alleged
anime downloaders asked to meet with company, face fines

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Odex, one of Singapore's leading distributors of Japanese animation, has
begun sending warning letters to parents of users who allegedly downloaded anime
without authorization. Odex has been asking parents to discuss their children's
behavior with its representatives, and in at least some cases, pay fines of as
much as 3,000 Singapore dollars (about US$2,000). Odex's lawyers meet with each
person who receives a letter, and decide on the scope and extent of any
penalties. Under Singapore law, "willful and significant" downloading of illegal
content is a crime punishable by a fine of up to 20,000 Singapore dollars
(US$13,000) or up to six months in prison. Some of the anime Odex has licensed
include Fullmetal Alchemist, Bleach, D.Gray-man, and Monster.

Singapore licensor Odex threatens legal action against illegal downloads
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

According to a news report on the enforcement of copyright rules outside Japan, Singapore anime licensor Odex has started a campaign to eliminate illegal downloads of anime online. Beginning in May, Odex began sending cease and desist letters to the names and addresses of people whose download history had been exposed. The warning letters state that people who continue to share and download anime illegally will be reported to police. Odex is requesting that police search the homes of anyone who is reported.

The letters that Odex is sending are being sent almost exclusively to the people who download the files. This method is a strong contrast to the approach of Japanese authorities that are focusing on prosecuting the people who distribute anime.

Although Odex is the largest licensor and distributor of anime in Singapore, the company has seen a sharp drop in sales in recent years. This led to the company stopping distribution on all but the most popular titles. The company has cited internet file-sharing as a major cause of the drop in sales.
